WORKSHOP DETAILS

In this workshop, you’ll put everything you’ve learned throughout the series into practice as we cut, construct, and finish your pants. We’ll work through the pattern step-by-step while learning the techniques needed to create a polished, wearable pair of handmade pants.

By the end of the evening, you’ll have completed your handmade head-to-toe look—and gained the skills and confidence to keep sewing beyond the series!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Your registration includes the Kite Pants pattern, fabric, notions, and a sewing machine to use during class. Your measurements and pattern size will have been determined earlier in the series, allowing us to focus on construction and finishing.

PLEASE NOTE: This registration is for ONE individual class in the four-part Handmade Head to Toe series. It does not include the other three classes. Each class must be purchased separately, or you can register for the full four-week series if you’d like to attend all four.

SKILLS PRACTICED

  • Following a garment sewing pattern

  • Understanding pattern sizing and ease

  • Fabric cutting and transferring markings

  • Constructing pants

  • Sewing and finishing seams

  • Garment finishing techniques

  • Pattern assembly and construction

  • Putting your sewing skills together and MORE!

SKILL LEVEL

Beginners ages 16+ who have some basic sewing machine experience. No previous pants-sewing experience is required.

We’ll move at a beginner-friendly pace with step-by-step instruction and hands-on guidance throughout the workshop.

FABRIC DETAILS

Your pants will be made using 3 oz, 100% cotton fabric featuring traditional India ink block printing. Because these fabrics are hand block printed, slight imperfections, variations in the print, and subtle differences in color are natural and make each piece unique.

A NOTE ABOUT THE SPACE

This workshop is hosted in partnership with Ana of Eclectic Atelier. Come celebrate the final night of Handmade Head to Toe with an evening of sewing, creativity, and community!

CANCELLATION POLICY

Hem & Holler is a small, one-woman business, and last-minute cancellations can make it difficult to fill workshop spots. Because of this, all class purchases are nonrefundable. If you cancel with more than 72 hours’ notice, you may receive a digital store credit toward a future workshop. Store credits never expire. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice are not eligible for refunds, transfers, or credits.

All workshops require a minimum of three participants. If Hem & Holler must cancel the workshop due to low enrollment, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, students will be notified by email and may choose a full refund or credit toward a future class. Hem & Holler is not responsible for additional costs, including travel or independently purchased materials.

By registering for this workshop, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms, conditions, and cancellation policy.
